Nickerson Chase b. abt 1773, d. 7 Nov 1844, Tisbury, MA, (MA State Health Dept., age 70, lighthouse keeper, d. of --- disease of heart 14:66) son of Zaccheus and prob. Deliverance (Cahoon) Daggett (Zaccheus' first wife, Hannah Butler, d. 1770), m. Fanny Norton 1 Jan 1801(IGI)

Timothy Russell prob. b. 24 Oct 1793, Dartmouth, MA, son of Joseph and Edith (Allen)(IGI). He was likely the second oldest in Dartmouth, thus 2nd.

Philip Mosher prob. in 1850 Census, Bristol, RI (p. 6B), 45, ship master, b. MA, w/ wife Sophia & 5 ch. 1860 census, Newport, RI (p. 137), 54, mariner, b. New Bedford, Sophia b. Tiverton, next 3 ch. b. Warren, then Tiverton. Married Sophia Ann Lake, 18 Apr 1827, New Bedford, 2 mos. after return to port. He may have been the son of Philip and Dinah (Brightman) of New Bedford. He was approached by the mutineers on W & LP to join them in killing Capt. Briggs and taking the ship, but why Philip in particular isn't known.

Anson Churchill prob. b. 3 Jan 1805, New Bedford, son of Thomas & Eunice (Jenney) (NB vrs). Rose from perhaps 4th mate to 2nd mate on next trip of W&LP. 1836 NB dir., mariner, house 45 Hillman. 1839 dir., Anson S. Churchill, mariner, h. 128 Middle, co. No. Sixth. perhaps Anson S. Churchill who m. Betsy C.(Betsey S. Collins, IGI)(1850 US census, Taunton, 34, mariner). Anson and Betsy were both supp. 34, but could be 10 years off. They had a child with them, presum. theirs, who was 18. There was a Betsy Collins b. 1805, Dartmouth vrs. 1830 US census, New Bedford, male 20-30, female 20-30, girl 0-5 (Sophia, b. 1828). 1840 US census, NB, 1 male 30-40, 1 female 30-40, 1 male 15-20, 1 girl 0-5 (Emily), 1 girl 5-10 (Adeline), 1 girl 15-20 (Sophia). The young male in this census was very likely a servant or a boarder. There is no credible evidence seen to suggest a forgotten son.

Peleg Jenney, Jr. prob. b. 17 Dec 1803, New Bedford, son of Peleg & Sarah (Kempton)(IGI), m. Abby Russell 1 May 1827 (IGI). Rose to 3rd mate on next voyage of W&LP.

David T. Peckham prob. m. Nancy M. Danforth, 19 Nov 1831, Fairhaven, MA (NB vrs give intentions, he of NB, she of Fairh). 1836 NB dir., David S. Peckham, cooper, at sea.

Harvey Freelove prob. m. Mary Pettey, 23 Aug 1823, Troy, NY (IGI)

David M. Tryon prob. David Mason Tryon b. 18 July 1806, Durham, Greene Co., NY, son of Asa & Hester (Chapman)(IGI, says b. Saybrook, incorrect). An "Asae Trion" or "Trian" appears in Freehold, Greene Co., NY, in 1800, and Asa Tryon is in Durham in 1810

Grafton Luce b. abt 1797 (fairly consistent age and phys. descr. among ship lists - see also Ship Russell 1818-1822). Prob. son of George and Abigail (Rotch) or (Lambert)(IGI), supp. m. Rhoda Daggett 5 May 1825, Tisbury. The year is surely wrong, since he was at sea at the time. "Whaling bark WOLGA of Fairhaven, Capt Grafton Luce, in at Kosrae on Feb 13 [1851]. 'Spent a day laying off and on in hopes that the natives would come off to trade,' but none did. [Luce -1852]" http://www.micsem.org/pubs/articles/historical/forships/kosrae.htm

Russell Luce b. abt. 1803, perhaps son of Abner and Millicent (Norton) or Amelia C., m. Hannah A. Daggett 20 Oct 1829(IGI). Also on Maria Theresa (1823); Industry (1822); Amazon (1830 & 1833); George & Susan (1827), and supp. Roscoe (1824), but may not have shipped. All say b. Tisbury but one, which says M Viny., 5' 9", light compl., dark hair (taken from research by Judy Swan at http://history.vineyard.net/dukes/sailors5.htm)

Leander Hathaway b. abt. 1805/1806, perhaps Leander B. Hathaway, son of Beriah Delano & Fear (Maxim), d. 7 May 1872, m. Nancy W. Bowens, 20 May 1838, Nantucket(IGI) and Lydia Blackmer, 25 Aug 1844, Nan.(MA State Health Dept., he was 38, mariner, b. Wareham, m. by Rev. David Patten, Nantucket) Lydia was single by 1850? (with 2 dau. in 1850 census, Nan.) or Leander d. 1872, Wareham (MA State Health Dept.) and was at sea and not enumerated. Leander of Wareham m. Ruth Mehurin 9 Oct 1827, Bridgewater, MA (Bridgewater vrs). He may have been the farm laborer who appears in Nantucket, 1860 (age 60) and then Wareham, 1870 (age 65).

Obed R. Foy prob. Obed Russell Foy, b. 4 May 1797, son of Obed and Hannah (Russell), m. Love Wolf, 29 July 1818, Nantucket (Nantucket vrs, birth from Folger Coll., Nan Hist Soc)

Elisha Parker may have been the grocer in New Bedford (1850 US census), 50, b. MA, w/ wife and children. 1836 NB dir., grocer, 100 Purchase, co. High, house 48 High.
