Anthony was appointed to fine anyone cutting timber in the commons, probably 12 March 1646/7(Hingham>Town Records p. 11b, image 14) 22 February 1647/8, appointed to protect the town's oak and hemlock and trees in the cedar swamp (p. 13b, image 16) Selectman 13 February 1648/9 (p. 14b, image 17) Anthony died after 28 June 1670, presumably in Marshfield, when he acknowledged a grant of land.(Plymouth Colony Land Records, 5:416, as cited by Anderson.)
