Her marriage and death are in Vital Records of Beverly, Massachusetts, to the end of the year 1849, vol. 2 (marriages and deaths) (Topsfield: 1907), 332 and 610 respectively. The vital records in turn cite Rev. Hale's private record of deaths and her gravestone for her death date, which also say she was 76.

1. Vital Records of Beverly, Massachusetts, to the end of the year 1849, vol. 1 (), . Hugh's birth fell in the Julian/Gregorian calendar year overlap, but the record doesn't have a dual year. His baptism was on 28 March 1703 and after the overlap, leaving little doubt that his birth year (Gregorian) was 1703.
