Dinah and her husband were admitted to, and among the first members of, the New Canaan Congregational Church by a letter of recommendation from Norwalk on 20 June 1733.1 She was still alive when her father wrote his will on 20 December 1746. He refers to his daughter Dinah Benedict and his son-in-law Deacon John Benedict.
