On 22 September 1717, Abigail Hooper was baptized, and this record is probably within a list of people who owned the covenant. She joined the church at Manchester in full communion on 27 April 1718, which was the next and final membership level.1 This must be Abigail (Gale) Hooper even though she had already been baptized in the Beverly church.
On 3 June 1748, it was likely this Abigail Hooper who was owed money from the estate of Samuel Morgan for taking care of his wife just before she died.2 She was owed 6 shillings, but the probate court, in light of the estate being insolvent, ordered a proportional reduction of all that was due to creditors, and Abigail was given 4 shillings, 5 pence. She signed a receipt made in her own good handwriting and fairly good spelling, which wasn't common for men at the time, and less so for women.

Deue to me from the Estate of Samuel Morgain late deseaes the sum of twenty five shiling old tenor for taking care of his whife when she died as witness my hand, Abagill hooper
