vital records sources: Her birth is in Vital Records of Charlestown, Massachusetts, to the Year 1850, vol. 1 (Madison, WS: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2011), 5, called the daughter of John and Joan, but such a John is otherwise unknown, making it certain that Edward and Joan was meant, and one of their children is listed just before Hannah. Her marriage is in ibid, 51, by "magistrate" Richard Russell.
