vital records sources: her birth. Her marriage is in the vital records of Boston (Boston, Marriages 1689-1720, image 8), "Stoddard," by Samuel Sewell, JP, with the dual year. Her death record is in two forms in the microfilmed Hingham records. One is from a record of Rev. Gay, called "Dr. Gay's Record" a transcription "attested" to by the Town Clerk, no date, which says Elizabeth Joy, age 82, 14 January 1750, no pagination, ancestry image 2796. The other says Elizabeth, widow of Thomas Joy, 14 January 1749, listed with others but not chronologically, image 2554. This is a town vital record
