Hannah's mark and her son Richard's signature on Ebenezer Thistle's inventory

Hannah's birth record calls her Johanna, but she is otherwise known as Hannah. She renewed her covenant at the First Church in Beverly and had her children baptized on 27 July 1723,1 Not long after her husband died, her father and stepmother sold her half a right in the Beverly common land on 5 February 1728/29.2 In 1742, after her oldest son Richard came of age, administration of her husband's estate was given to her and Richard.3 Hannah made her mark on the estate inventory.2
