Osborne vs Thomas Armington, trespass, "for hiring a covent. servant belonging to the works." vol. 1 192 (June 1650) John was fined for "striking William Emorie." vol. 1 287 (March 1653) "Maj. William hathorne and Mr. Amos Richardson, assigees to John Giffard v. John Vinton." 425 (June 1656) John Giffard was an agent for Mr. John Beckes and Co. This was iron works related. He was called to court for an unrecorded write, which was withdrawn and he was paid for costs to go to court. vol. 2 1 (Sept 1656) 2 167 John was allowed witness fees, no case specified, at the same time was Thomas Putnam, Robert Rand, Thomas Farrer. (June 1659) Witness again in a case, Adam Hawkes vs the iron works for having dammed waters so high they flooded his land, well and bridge, for years. 2 210 (June 1660).)
